The pie charts illustrate the porpotion of the UK housing in 4 different catagories between 1991 and 2007.

Overall, there was an increase in the number of houses after 16 years. The home owner occupied the largest data in both years, while the social housing recorded with the smallest pieces.

Starting with the 1991 pie chart, the percentage of home owner buildings came up with more than a half of 22 million homes. The social renting houses was nearly one fourth, whereas the private renting and social housing figures were respectively the two smallest pieces.

In 2007, the number of home owner houses still remained the highest percentage which rose up to nearly three fourths. By contrast, the data on social renting declined to the same data as private renting. As same as the social renting, the social housing number dropped by a half after 16 years. Finally, the private renting porpotion was the one catagory that witnessing no changes when compared to 1991.
