Write a report to a university lecturer describing the data.
The pie charts demonstrate the proportions of different kinds of food consumed in the world in 2008 in comparison with two other countries: China and India.
Overall, as can be seen from these charts, processed food made up the most significant contribution while nuts and seeds only accounted for more negligible segments. In China, however, animal food played the least remarkable part in the chart.
In the first chart, the percentage of processed products was above 40%, tenfold that of nuts and seeds. Meanwhile, vegetables and fruits and animal food took up 29% and 26% respectively.
On the other hand, the distributions of processed food and vegetables were equivalent in China, where both of them accounted for slightly more than one-third of the chart. In addition, nuts and seeds made up a 19% proportion while the percentage of animal food was less than that by 4%. In the meantime, the ratio of processed food was almost two-fifths while that of nuts and seeds was roughly one-tenth. Animal food and vegetables & fruits made up a 27% and 23% contribution.
