The pie charts show the main reasons for migration to and from the UK in 2007.

The pie charts represent the six reasons (formal study, accompany, looking for work, definite job, no reason started and other reasons) for people to come in and left the UK in the year of 2007.
Overall, it is clear that the main factor influencing this decision was employment.
The largest portion was dedicated to definite job of 30% of people immigrated to the UK and 29% of them emigrated from the UK. A large number of people, 22%, also emigrated because they were looking for a job, whereas people who entered into the UK for the same reason had recorded of 12%.
The reasons for accompanying had showed the similar proportion of 15% immigrated and 13% emigrated. Similarly, other reasons had the small differences between immigration and emigration proportions of 11% and 14% respectively.
In contrast, there was a huge difference in the proportion of formal study reasons where 26% of people immigrated to the UK compared to 4% emigrated from the UK. In opposite, 6% of people immigrated to the UK whereas 18% of people emigrated from the UK for no reasons
