The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two pictures compare the current layout of a university’s sports center with a plan to redevelop the same place.
We can see that the sports center will be enlarged. There are no plans to change the entrance, the reception, the setting, the 25-meter pool and the changing room.
The most noticeable change from the existing to the proposed center plan is that there will be no outdoor courts. This will be achieved by building the external walls surrounding the whole sports center. The left and right walls of the present center will be removed.
The outdoor courts will be changed into several parts. The west outdoor courts will be replaced with a changing room, a small sports shop and a leisure pool. The sports hall will be next to the setting. To the east of the sports hall will be two dancing studios and the north one will be beside the gym. Also, there will be a changing room in the south east corner and a café will be built on the right of the entrance.
