The plans below show the layout of a university's sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The two maps compare the current university sports centre layout with its future plan after being redeveloped.
In general, there are several main changes regarding the size of the centre and the adding facilities. However, some features will still remain the same after the redevelopment, namely the pool, the changing room, reception and seating area.
To begin with, the sports centre will be extended and will replace the two outdoor courts which are currently situated on the two sides of the building. The gym will be twice the size of its original layout and a new sports hall will also be added into the new plan, next to the seating area. There will be two dance studios placed near the sports hall and the gym, right on the east side of the building.
Compare to the present layout which only contains one changing room, in the future plans, the new sports centre will have two more changing rooms in addition to the current one, each of which will be in the south-west and east-west of the building. Next to the changing rooms, at two sides of the main entrance will be the places of a sports shop and a café accordingly. Finally, for the last renovation, the centre will have a large leisure pool which will be situated on the west side of the building, next to the current changing room.
