The map shows the layout of a public entertainment space when it was first open in 1920 and what it is now.
On the whole, the garden has undergone a series of transformation to satisfy all ages and contemporary lifestyle.
At inception, the park had a musical stage and its seating arena to the left of the grounds, with a fountain sitting right at the centre of the same park. On the right side of the entrance is the glasshouse, while at the back on the right is the pond serving the water plants. There are rose gardens scattered at the either side of the entrance on Arnold Avenue and on the left side bordering Eldon Street.
However at present, the space has undergone tremendous transformations. The fountain at the centre has been replaced by a Rose garden, while the stage where singers performed is now an open theatre for shows. The pond has been replaced by a children’s recreational centre and a water feature has been added on the ground opposite Eldon Street. Another transformation is the underground car park.
