The table illustrates the information about different genre independent films were released in UK and Republic of Ireland in 2012. However, table also shows the percentage of all releases and percentage income from tickets. Different genres such as comedy, horror, biopic, drama, action so on.
Firstly, in 2002, there were total 148 films released in which drama and documentary contributed 35 films each and the percentage was same which was 23.6% while, drama category earned more money than documentary. However, 26 films were released in comedy category but it earned 45.4% of money which was highest among all. Furthermore, the numbers were nearly same for horror and thriller films with nearly same percentage of release whereas, the major difference can be seen for ticket sale, 20.2% income came from horror and only 3% came from thriller.
Secondly, nearly number of rerelease had been same for biopic, crime, action, romance and other which was in between 1 to 10 but the income was more for biopic among this entire category.
Overall, there is no correlation between number of releases and income from ticket, as per table. However, UK and Ireland people were most interested in comedy and horror films because income was more.
