The table and chart illustrate the budget of police in a venue in Britain from 2017 to 2018. In general, while the table provides information about the sources of the police budget, the charts illustrate the distribution of money in three different categories.
Looking into details, most of the police budget comes from the national government, at around 176 million pounds; however, other sources such as grants contribute the least at just 38 millions. Furthermore, there has been a sharp rise in the total amount of the police budget, from 304.7 million in 2017 to nearly 320 million pounds in 2018.
Another worth-noticing point is that although more than 70% of money was spent on salaries of the officers and staff, the money invested in technology took up the least. Moreover, during the period, the expense on buildings and transport remained the same at 17%. Nevertheless, while the sum of money on salaries fell slightly to 69% in 2018, the money on technology increased negligibly to just under 15%.
