The bar chart illustrates the sources of budget for police, and the pie charts show the distribution of the money.
It can be clearly seen from the charts that the majority of the money was used for paying employees, while the National Government seem to contributed the highest amount of budget.
With regard to the bar chart, in 2017, the National Government provided 175 million pounds for the police, which was the highest amount of money, followed by 91 million pounds was from the local taxes. Just one year later, the contribution from the local taxes increased swiftly by 10 million pounds, while there was a modest rise of around 178 million pounds of the money from the National Government, which was correlated with the increased in the total figure.
Turning to the pie charts, 75% of the money spent on wages in 2017, which accounted for three quarters of the total budget. Moreover, the spending on infrastructures took up 17% and a negligible amount of 8% for technology. There was a significant rise in the spending on technology in 2018, by around 7%, whereas the percentage of budget used for salaries fell by 6%, and the figure for infrastructure remained roughly stable.
