The table shows the number of Trillion Watt Hours (TWh) produced by five different renewable energy sources in the four years from 2009 to 2012.
Overall, the production from five renewable energy sources has increased over the time period, but Hydraulic energy produced the more TWh than all the other renewable energy sources.
The highest number of world electricity production was provided by Hydraulic energy source that was in average almost 3500 TWh over the given period. In contrast, Solar energy generally provided the smallest number of TWh. However, the amount of world electiricity supplied by Geoterman energy in 2012 was below the number of electricity production from Solar energy.
In 2009, the number of wind and bio-mass energy produced was a nearly similar, and these figures accounted for 276.4 and 246.8 TWh, respectively. Nevertheless, Wind energy production showed gradually increase, and it reached nearly double the amount in 2012. Moreover, the electricity production from Bio-mass sources had also consistently increase.
