The table below gives information about the underground railway systems in six cities.

The table provides the data about the underground railways systems such as opening date, kilometers and number of passenger in six cities between the years 1863-2001.

Overall, With the increase in years there is has been an decrease in kilometers of route. The passengers per year of london,paris,tokyo and DC were considerably high
while, for the rest of the cities it was significantly low.

Firstly, The most marked railway system was London(established in 1863) in terms of kilometers as it travelled the most in contrast to other countries, at 394 million kilometers, followed by Paris taking up the second place travelling 199 kilometers. The lowest was travelled by kyoto trains which was opened in the year 1981, covering
only 11 million kilometers.

With regard to tokyo which was founded in 1927, though its distance was not as high as the others it was accounted for the highest number of passengers, taking in 1927 million per year. Coming to Los angeles, This railway was opened in the later period and accounted for only 28 kilometers of travel, and
50 million passengers per year.
