The consumption on different necessities in five European countries in the year 2002 was depicted in the diagram. Overall, all five countries saw the highest expenditure in food, drinks and tobacco, while leisure and education accounted for the lowest figure of all three sectors.
Regarding food, drinks and tobacco, Turkey consumed 32, 14% of spending on this, twice as much as the same field of Sweden. Ireland spent 28.91% of their budget on food, tobacco and drinks, while Italy and Spain possessed a figure of 16.36% and 18.8% respectively.
In terms of Clothing and footwear, Italy’s level of expenditure on this item is 9%, three over twos larger than Sweden’s. On the other hand, Ireland, Spain, Turkey almost shared the same figure.
As can be seen, Turkey accounted for the highest budget spent on leisure and education while Spain saw the lowest consumption. No nation among the given spent more than 5% of their budget on this sector.
