The table below highlights data on the number of travelers using three major British airports between 1998 and 2003.

The table indicates information about how many visitors used three major British airports: Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, over a period of five years.

Overall, it is interesting to note that there was an upward trend in the number of passengers who visited three airports. However, Gatwick was the England's most popular visitor destination.

In 1998, 36.5 million tourists visited Gatwick, and the Heathrow was the second most visited airport, with 27.2 million visitors. Stansted received just 17.3 million people. All three airports showed a continual rise until 2000, the number of visitors to Heathrow began to decrease, while the Stansted was showing the same rate in three years. But at the end of the period there was a sharp increase to 45.6 million among the visitors of Heathrow. It can be noted that all trends changed differently except for Stansted in the last three years.
