Essay topics:

The table below show information and predictions regarding the change in percentage of the population aged 65 and above in three countries.

The table compares and predicts the contribution of seniors ( over 65 years old ) population in three distinctive nations namely Canada, Germany and the UK in 1988,2000 and 2030.

From an overall perspective, the elder rate in all three countries showed an upward trend and is expected to continuously increase in 2030. Throughout the surveyed and forecasted time, Germany has the highest proportion of seniors while the smallest percentage can be seen in the Uk.

Between 1988 and 2000, while Canada and Germany’s percentage of old citizens significantly rose, this growth in the UK was noticeably slower. To be specific, in the initial year, the fraction of people who are above 65 years old in German, Canada and the UK stood at 20.45, 16.32 and 14.23 percent, respectively. After 12 years, this figure improved by roughly 4.5 percent for both German and Canada; however it was merely 0.66 percent for the last nation.

By 2030, the proportion of senior population in Germany and Canada were projected to surge with the same speed in the past, reaching 30.42 and 26.35 percent in 2030, correspondingly. The UK, in contrast, was forecasted to substantially climb by 5.45 percent, considerably faster compared to 0.66 percent in 30 years before.
