The chart shows the percentages of British households in years ranging from 1972 to 1983.
The greatest increase was in central healing. It increased dramatically from 3% to 43% in 1974. Then it continued to increase steadily. Television and vacuum cleaner has slightly increased but the increase in television was far fewer. It went from 93% to 98% at the end, while the vacuum cleaner increased from 87% to 95%.
There was a considerable increase in telephone and refrigerator. The telephone was the 2nd one that had the greatest increase by 35% of the increasing percentage, while the refrigerator rose 21%. The percentage of washing machines increased nearly as much as the refrigerator by 14%. The dishwasher was not even existed until 1978. It rose from 3% to 5%. We can’t see the increase in the video because it only existed in 1983, which is the last year of the chart.
The overall picture is that all of the households have increased, both sustainably and slightly, even though some practically never rose.
