The table below shows the information and predictions regarding the change in a percentage of the population aged 65 and above in three countries.

The rendered tabular chart depicts the percentage of people in terms of age 65 and over in three different countries namely Canada, Germany and the UK in the year 1998, 2000 and 2030.

Overall, it is evident that population of aged people follows an increasing trend. In which Germany accounted for the highest percentage of elderly people and is predicted to be maximum in the future.

To begin with, in 1988, the UK accounted for the minimum percentage of elderly people which was 14.23%, whereas Canada had 16.32% of aged people. While population aged over 65 and above was 20.67% in Canada by 2000, the figure remained nearly same for the UK. In contrast, by 2030, it is estimated that both nations Canada and the UK will experience almost 6 % rise in the population of the elder people at 26.35% and 20.35% respectively.

Moving further, Germany reported a dramatic change in the figures, having the maximum percentage of aged people in the given span of time. Initially, this comprised of approximately a fifth, then the proportion rose to 25.32% in 2000. For the prediction of 2030's population, it is expected that the proportion will account for 30.42%.
