The table illustrates the differences in the proportions of bike subscribers living in a town by age groups and different genders in that groups in 2011.
In general, females were more prevalent in riding bicycles than their counterparts across all age groups. In addition, the 2011 year period also witnessed apparent declines in the percentages of bike users relating to age, though a regrowth was seen in the oldest age group.
51. 4% of females aging from 0 to 9 were reported using bike, compared to 50. 3% of males at the same time. Meanwhile, the number of 10-17 aged females cycling accounts for 42. 2% of total women in that town, which was almost two told higher than that of men subscribing bikes.
People aged 18 to 59, however, showed significant decreases in the number of bike subscribers. Particularly, 17. 1% and 11. 3% of females in 18-39 aged bracket and 40-59 aged bracket in that order were bike users, while the figures for males was 9. 7% and 1. 0% respectively. In contrast, the proportion of female dwellers who rode bikes in 2011 was 18. 5%, which was 5. 3% higher than that of male counterparts.
