In 2010, a cup of coffee in Sydney cost $2.25, which accounted for the highest price compared to those other Australian cities. Later, in 2014, $3.17 was the amount of money that people had to pay for one coffee cup, which led to a 13.2% rise in the rate of change in Sydney. Moreover, Melbourne and Perth also increased the price of one coffee cup throughout the years, with a proportion of 20.8% and 7.1% respectively.
Canberra and Adelaide had the same cost-rising trend in one cup, starting from an average of $1.7 in 2010 to about $1.9 in the later year, taking up over a 6% increase in prices. However, the price for one coffee cup in Brisbane did not rise in this period, and remained stable at a cost of $2.25 for one cup of coffee.
