The table gives information on bicycles’ use in terms of ages and sexes of Britain people over a period of 25 years.
Overall, it is noticeable that the distance of bicycles used by men was higher than the figure of women. Over the years, miles which were travelled by all cyclists had a decreasing trend.
It can be seen that teenagers’ male accounted for the highest of using bicycles of the period, while female children were the least of bicycles’ use. Women between 11 and 17 years old had a downward trend, from 56 miles in the first year to 22 miles in the last year, which was the similar trend of female adults.
In contrast, there was a slight upward trend of bicycles use of boys aged 18 to 59, which began at 72 miles and finished at 80 miles. Elderly people had a significant drop in the number of bicycles travelled by 16 miles over the years. Similarly, the distance travelled by bicycles of all cyclists went down to 38 miles at the end of the period.
