The table illustrates the amount of money that secondary/high school teachers were paid in 2009.

Overall, It is clear that teachers in Luxembourg were the most well-paid in all 5 years, the opposite was true for the salaries of Australian teachers. Additionally, teachers in Denmark and Australia had the shortest time to receive a maximum salary.

High school teachers in Luxembourg were offered 80,000 as their starting, which was the highest salary out of the five countries. Meanwhile, teachers in the rest of the countries started their job were under 50,000. Although no-experienced teachers in Australia started with a lower salary than Korea, with 15 years of teaching in both countries were the same earning, with 48,000. After 15 years, the salary of Luxembourg teachers still remained at the top of the table, with 119,000. Following Luxembourg was Japan, where teachers were paid nearly double in 15 years.

Teachers in Luxembourg had the maximum salary up to 132,000 within 30 years. Japanese teachers had to take 37 years, which was a longer time than in Luxembourg to be able to reach 86,000. Teachers in Australia and Denmark took only 9 and 8 years respectively to reach their highest incomes, which is noticeably smaller compared to those of Luxembourg, Japan and Korea.
