The table below shows the water usage for different purposes in six different countries in 2001 Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The given table compares the proportion of water used for different sectors in six countries in 2003.

Overall it can be seen that water was mainly used for the agricultural sector. Another interesting point is that despite being the country with the greatest proportion of water for agriculture, China dedicated the least water for homes.

Looking at the details, agriculture was the dominant sector in China with water usage at 87%, followed by that of Turkey at 73%. The figures for the industrial sector and homes in China were negligible at around 6% while those in Turkey were slightly higher at 11% and 16% accordingly.

Regarding industrial usage of Canada’s water, it ranked first at 81%, after which is that of the UK at 73%. While the figure for domestic in the UK was five times higher than that for agriculture at 4%, the data for the corresponding sectors in Russia balanced at nearly 20%. Australia was the only nation which used water mainly for homes with the proportion at 65%, whereas the figure for industry was next to none, which was the lowest one in comparison with that of the remaining countries.
