The tables beliw shows the distribution of students at UK university by mode of study and gender.

The tabular charts illustrate the men and women proportion enrolled in full-time and part-time postgraduate courses at UK university in four academic sessions from 1996 to 2010.

Overall, it can be incurred that both genders ratio were increase in full-time course whereas, in part-time course it showed fluctuations.

Initially, it is vividly apparent that the students enrolments in full-time courses followed an upward trend for both the genders throughout the given period. In 1996/1997 the numbers of men were more (75,370) as compared to women( 62,344). This showed the inclination during the 2000/01 and 2005/06 in ratio of both gender students it was 87,070 and 85,215 respectively. In 2009/10 the men ratio in full-time course was double as the ratio in 1996/97. The women were in full-time course, 146980.

Secondly, the mens proportion were fluctuate in part-time course it was highest in last years (138505 and 117105) rather than 1996/97 and 2000/01, it was 113961 and 108770. Whereas, the women student were on the peak in 2005/06 it was 172640. In other three academic sessions it was decline near about 10,0000 to 16,0000.
