The given tables illustrate the amount of money sale gained by selling coffee and bananas in 5 different European countries including UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, and Sweden between 1999 and 2004.
It is clear that in both years, people in 5 European countries are likely to consume bananas rather than coffee. In addition, Switzerland and the UK are nations where coffee and bananas were the most traded at the same time.
According to coffee’ turnover, Switzerland earned 3 million euro, followed by 1,8 and 1,5 million euro in Denmark and the Uk in 1999. In contrast, this commodity in Belgium and Sweden accounted for 1 and 0,8 million euro from selling. However, until 2004, the amount of money gained by trading coffee in 5 countries increased steadily, especially in the UK, at 20 million euro. Switzerland merely ranked second in trading, at 6 million euro in 2004.
Looking at bananas’ sales, Switzerland was a country that had the highest amount of money earned by selling bananas, at 15 million euro in 1999, was higher than that of Denmark, at 2 million euro. During the period of 5 years, the amount of money gained by selling this fruit went up significantly in 3 European countries including Switzerland (47 million euro), UK (5,5 million euro), and Belgium (4 million euro), whereas that of Sweden and Denmark experienced a decrease slightly, around 1 million euro. However, the amount of money earned by selling bananas was higher than that of coffee from 1999 to 2000.
