The tables compare the statistics regarding the World population from 1950 to 2050 and the percentage of people lived in six different territories, such as Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, and Oceania. Overall, the total population in Asia was higher than the other regions from 1950 to 2050.
Now turning to the details, the total world inhabitants accounted for 2.5 billion in 1950, but after 50 years the number almost doubled at 6 billion, which is expected to rise from 6 to 9 billion by 2050. In 1950, the highest percentage of people estimated in Asia, at 56%, compared with Africa, Europe, Latin America, North America, and Oceania, while Oceania was at 1% and remained the same until 2050. After fifty years, the percentage increased only in Asia, Africa and Latin America calculated for 60%, 13%, and 9%, respectively, whilst in Europe and North America decreased counted at 12% and 5%. Nearly as many people lived in Africa as Europe in 2000.
It can be seen that, the distribution of the population is projected to grow in Africa, except it is likely to remain the same in Latin America. On the other hand, it kept continuing to decline in Asia, Europe, and North America by 1%, 5% and 1% by 2050.
