The bar chart gives information about average spending on buying clothes per customer yearly in 1985, 1995, 2005 in the US.
Overall, money spending for clothes increased slightly over the period shown. Women's clothes were always the highest in annual average spending while boys' clothes was the lowest.
In 1985, people in the US spent about 100$ for boys' clothes, this figure climbed marginally by 5$ in 1995 and stabilised in 2005. The amount of spending on girls' clothes showed a steady rise, from 100$ in 1985 to 150$ in 2005.
There were a fluctuation in the number of money for men's clothes. It was 300$ in 1985, peaked at 450$ in 1995 and fell by 50$ in 2005, from 450 to 400$. Women's clothes were always the items that customers spent the highest amount of money. This number grew from 500$ in 1985 to 520$ in 1995 and experienced a significant increase in 2005 at 650$.
