The given pie charts give the information about the percentage of goverments’ expenditures on different categories yearly in 1990 in Italy and Spain.
Generally, Italian and Spainese governments spent most on higher education, whereas environmental services and other were the least spending categories in the countries.
In 1990, higher education was always the greatest spending in Italy and Spain, at 35% and 45% respectively, much more higher than other catergories. K-12 education was ranked the second position in the total amount in both countries, at 25% in Italy, and at 20% in Spain. In Italy, health and human resources just made up 14%, slight lower than that in Spain, at 20%, which also ranked the second most spending.
In contrast, Environmental services and other were two catergories which two countries spent the least on. The former just accounted for 4% in Italy and 5% in Spain, the latter were around 4% compared to 6% in the other given. There was a huge different in the spending on transportation in Italy and Spain, with 16% and 6% respectively.
