Worldwide market share of the notebook computer market
The table gives information about the percentages of the market share of the notebook computer for manufacturers in the world over two years 2006 and 2007.
It is clear from the table that HP and Dell took up the majority of the notebook computer market in both 2006 and 2007, whilst Fujitsu- Siemens was by far much less than the rest in the time of the survey. Two other famous corporations which were Acer and Toshiba had the percentages of market shares occupying third and fourth position, respectively.
In both years, the merchandise of HP was enjoyed mostly in the world with the market achieved 31.4 percent and 34 percent, respectively. Followed HP closely by Dell, with the market in 2007 was 20.2 percent, higher about 4 percent than that in 2006. On the other hand, Fujitsu- Siemens's market witnessed an extreme decrease of 2.5 percent after a year.
In 2006, there a slight discrepancy in the percentage between Toshiba and Lenovo. This difference became more evident when Toshiba experimented a modest increase and Lenovo was decreased in 2007. Over a period of a year, from 2006 to 2007 Acer fell down from 11.6 percent to 10.7 percent.
