The given line chart details the information about water use universally, while the table depicts the amount of water that is used in two distinctive regions including Brazil and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Overview, it is obvious that a huge amount of water is utilized for agriculture sector as opposed to the remaining categories with minor water use. Meanwhile the greater population and vast land of Brazil is attached with higher water consumption than Democratic Republic of Congo.
Looking more closely at the pie chart, the amount of water used for agricultural purpose grew to varying degrees between 1900 and 2000. Its figure started at about 500 km3 in the first year, after which saw a rise to just over 1000 km3 after 50 years, the figure increased consistently and finally reach a peak at roughly 3000 km3 in 2000. Turning to the remaining sectors, its figure started the lower period with about 1 km3 for domestic use and 2 km3 for industrial use and stay unchanged until 1930. After that period, there was a considerable rise for two sectors with over 1000 km3 of water used for industry and about 200 km3 of water used for domestic.
According to the table, the water consumption of Brazil was significant with the figure being at 359 m3 due to its large population (176 million) and immense territory (26,500 km2). By contrast, with the smaller land (100 km2) and only 5,2 million people living in Democratic Republic of Congo, the amount of water consumed was recorded at lower period, at 8 m3.
