Dear Chemanchula,
You already know that our traditional Telugu festival "Sankranthi" is around the corner and it is of high importance in our community. So I am planning to take time off from the work to spend some family time in my native place.
I am very much aware that my position here plays a crucial role in the aspect of deliverables towards clients. But since the new project we got recently is still in the initial stages of design and also the fact that I did not have any vacation in last 6 months of my time here, a 7 days off will be acceptable enough.
The pending work will be completed by the new associate whom I have been training for last 4 months. I have already made the necessary arrangements and provided the required guidance regarding the tasks. I understand that he is new but he is good at his work which makes him the right candidate.
And lastly, I will be available to attend in case of emergency.
