The climograph provides information about the average monthly temperatures and precipitation in Kolkata.
Overall, the lowest temperature and rainfall in Kolkata occurred in January and December. In addition, November is also the driest month. Meanwhile, May is usually the most sweltering month in Kolkata, and July is the month with the most rainfall.
Kolkata begins its new year with the coldest temperature reaches approximately 20 degrees Celcius and only around 2.5 mm precipitation to cause very little rainfall in January. The temperature and precipitation amount are usually increasing for the next consecutive four months. In May, the temperature in Kolkata is the highest over the year, while, the rainfall keeps increasing until it reaches the wettest month, which happened in July.
In terms of temperature, after May, the temperature in Kolkata tends to drop until it reaches 20 degrees celsius in December. The declining trend also happens for the rainfall amount, which tends to decline after May and reaches the least amount of rainfall in December with only approximately 0.1 mm precipitation.
