Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with regard to the job interview concerning the nurse position in the Main Hospital that I passed on October 10. I would like to commence my internship on November 15, as agreed. However, I will not be able to present myself on that date.
As you can see in my job application interview, I estimated one month in order to complete my studies and activities at my current job and start working in the hospital’s nursery. Unfortunately, I got terribly sick during the past days. Consequently, I could not sort out the last tasks and will need another week for a complete recovery. I already provide a copy of a letter from my doctor informing that I had to undergo medical treatments during that week.
However, I can do additional hours by the following week to retrieve my working days. I feel responsible for the pressure my delayed commence may have created at the Main Hospital.
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope this will not affect our work collaboration. I look forward to hearing from you for any further information.
