3. You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect. Write a letter to the editor of the magazine:
- Correct the information in the article
- Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information
- Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter to draw your attention to inaccurate information in your recent article about Quang Binh province.
First of all, I was very pleased when there was an article with many stunning photos about my hometown on such a globally famous travel magazine, that would help to acknowledge my town to global tourists. Unfortunately, I noticed that it had a significantly error about the beach festival’s timeline which gets started next month. It was informed in your post that our beach festival will be held from 15th June to the end of August, howerver, it actually starts from 1 June to 20th July.
I believe that many tourists would love to join the festival, so the incorrect schedule might affect them, not only their plan to join festival activities but also their experience about the town. Moreover, our town could lose a number of visitors during the event.
I would like to suggest that you should make an announcement about the mistake on the front page which will be published in the next magazine. It should also be posted on your social platform so that it can reach as many as visitors.
I hope you will have a prompt action for this.
Yours faithfully,
My Nguyen.
