The chart illustrates how waste paper is recycled.
It can be seen from the chart, there are six main phases involved in the process, beginning with the collection of waste paper and ending with making usable paper.
At the first stage in the paper recycling process, waste paper is collected from either public paper banks, where members of the public leave their used paper or directly from businesses. Next, the waste paper is sorted by hand. By evaluating and then depending on its grade, the unsuitable paper is removed from the process and suitable one is passed to the transportation stage. During this stage, paper is delivered to paper mill.
At paper mill, paper is cleaned, pulped and removed of other contaminant material such as staples… but there are still inks and glues need to be eliminated on it so de-inking is the following stage. Finally, usable paper is produced by a machine manufacture to complete the process.
