A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children’s sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public. Write a letter to the company. In your letter
-describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
-summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
-say how you think the company should spend the money
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing with regards to your company, Spirit Mall, that has sent a questionnaire asking for feedback on whether to support a youngsters sports team or offer a couple of outdoor concerts. It is very kind of you to offer either options for people.
I find that providing a sports team for children would be a nice opportunity to spend time after school. Sports activities are helping children to keep active and make friends as well as get thoughts away from school for a while.
Offering some outdoor concerts for all people would be a great opportunity to gather together and enjoy live music. It would be nice especially for older people or poorer families who usually can not afford themselves this kind of events.
My suggestion would be to spend the money on younger people sports. Children need to develop physically and co-operate with others.
Yours faithfully,
Karina Marina
