A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children’s sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.
Write a letter to the company.
In your letter:
• describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team
• summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts
• say how you think the company should spend the money
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my gratification for the decision made by your company to spend a decent amount of money towards the benefit of the society. I appreciate your willingness to sponsor either a local children sport for two years or alternatively to pay for local air concerts.
No doubt, financial support to the local children sports team for two years will benefit both the players and your company. Children will get the opportunity to learn and get trained by the professionals as well as it will promote your company image. Few children might get professional athlete and bring fame to the country.
On the other hand, the amount to be paid by your company for two open air concerts is a good idea. People will be entertained with the performances and some of the local bands will get the opportunity to show their talent.
I firmly believe that sponsoring the local children sports will be more advantageous than paying for two open air concerts for the community. As in the former younger generations will get the chance to become trained athletes and will bring honour to the country but the latter will just happen for few hours for entertainment purpose and people will forget about it.
I would like to thank you for your generous initiative
Yours Sincerely
Prabhpreet Kaur
