Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.
Write a letter to your friends. In your letter
• thank them for the photos and for the holiday
• explain why you didn’t write earlier
• invite them to come and stay with you
Dear Sue and Jenifer,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to say thank you for fantastic photos you send.
The photo arrived yesterday and reminded me the unforgettable time I had with you both. You were the best host I have ever seen and I really thank you. Please forgive me if I don't write you earlier, this is because I have worked flat out since I arrived home. I told you about my thesis, I understand the deadline is a week earlier than I expected.
By the way, now, I pass it away. Why don't you come and stay here for a time? I am sure we will have a great time, I can show you the fabulous lake I have told you before and we can take the extraordinary photo there. Ask me soon whenever you decide to come.
Hope you to see soon,
Elmira
