Last month, you travelled to another city. You told a friend who lives in the city that you would meet them, but you did not. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
apologise for not meeting him/her
explain why you did not contact him/her earlier
suggest a time and place to meet in the future.
Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and will be in good health. I am writing this letter to present my apologies for not meeting you in my recent official visit to Paris. I request you to please don't consider this an excuse, I got really occupied with some high priority official work. My work entailed me to work 10-12 hours a day. Also, I hardly got some spare time for my self. I was overjoyed and excited for my this trip however, I had no idea that I won't be able to meet my dear friend for few minutes only. I got dejected but no one else is accountable for this mistake except myself.
Please consider this as my sincere apology. I am hopeful with the news that my manager is thinking to send me Paris again for some other work. I assume that this trip will take place after two months. Furthermore, I have already decided and planed our meeting this time whatever may the condition. I would suggest we should meet near Efile tower, I really want to experience its beauty. As well as, I will get some good chocolates for you from London. Looking forward to see you after couple of months, till then take care of yourself and family.
Regards,
John
