Letter of Advice - IELTS Writing Task - I, General TestA friend has written to you asking for advice about a problem at work. You have had a similar problem in the past. Write a reply to your friend. In your letter: tell your friend you understand the pro

Dear Rekha,

It was nice to hear from you but it was equally disheartening to know that you are facing the troubles that you described in your letter. I know how you must be feeling right now because I have myself experienced such hitches during the arly years in my job. In exactly the same fashion, I too was looked down upon and sometimes outright humiliated a my workplace just due to the fact that I had difficulty conversing in English.

Rekha, I can assure you that you can overcome these difficulties with the steadfastness of your character. You can try the things that I did while facing similar insults at my office. First of all, the golden rule that I employed was to never pay attention to any derogatory remarks or gestures hurled at me by my co-workers. It is essential that you brush-off such criticism completely with a smile and not let it become a burden on your head.

Secondly, I would urge you to join a local English speaking coaching centre and make progress in your Spoken English slowly but steadily. Trust me, the way to success is long but the success itself is permanent, as far as conversing in English in concerned.

Last but not the least, I implore you to not shy away from using your newly-acquired skills in Spoken English at your workplace. No matter if you using wrong words but remember this will be a great learning experience.

Hope to hear from you soon. Good luck.

Yours lovingly,
John.
