Some people say that with the new technology there is no need to develop handwriting skills anymore. Others believe that it is still necessary to teach handwriting. Discuss both these views and Give your opinion.
It is irrefutable that technology brings are numerous changes in writing skills therefore masses differ in their opinions that whether it is mandatory to teach handwriting skills or not. This essay intends to discuss both perspectives, I, however side with the second view.
To begin with, some persons believe that it is a complete wastage of time to improve handwriting skills due to several reasons. As technology is becoming popular globally and there is hardly any corner of the world where it is not being used. In this modern time, people use computers and tablets to study or sending important information through emails. In this way, paper and pen are no longer used even in an educational organization. School authorities encourage the students to improve their typing skills to get good grades in their academics. I personally experienced that schools and universities in developed countries are not accepting paper writing. Hence, people do not think that handwriting skill is an essential skill.
On the other hand, handwriting skill is an important part of our life. Many people opine that it should be our responsibility to improve the paper writing skills of our generation so that they cannot forget the history of ancient period in which the paper and pen were used to write letters to near and dears. Furthermore, handwritten signatures are still used for various purposes to maintain the identity of individuals so that they should not be misused by anyone using technology.
In conclusion, I personally believe that although technology provided several applications to write and save for a long time the significance of paper writing should not be overlooked which helps to preserve the culture and identification of persons.
