The tables compare information about the sales of coffee and bananas labelled as fairtrade in five different european nations in millions of euros in 1999 and 2004.
In an overview, it can be noticed that, uk was the leading market for fairtrade labelled coffee in both years as compared to other nations whereas, swiss people preffered banana of this category more in later year as oppose to other people of different countries
As can be depicted from the table that, the market for fairtrade labelled coffee, increased dramatucally from 1.5 to 20 millions of euros in the year 2004, and increase of about 19 millions in 5 years. Similar trenf of increment can be seen for Switzerland and belgium, however in lesser quantities. As for denmark the trend remained almost constant in both years.
On the other hand, the market for fair trade labelled bananas, the preference of banana of swiss people doubled for about 47 millions of euros in 5 years of time. The market rate in uk and belgium also slumped for 5.5 and 4 millions of euros respectively whereas the sales in denmark and sweden
