Write a letter to a friend. You borrowed something from your friend and it got damaged.
• Apologize for damaging the product
• Explain what happened
• Say how you are going to fix it
Hello Jude,
I’m sorry I haven’t returned the X-Box game you borrowed me three weeks ago. The battery got bad two days after I collected it.
I know you really warned me to ensure nothing happens to the game but I have failed you in that aspect. Please accept my sincere apology and hope you don’t hold it against me.
It happened on 7th of May when I and my colleagues were playing PES 2020. I didn’t know my sibling transferred the power surge arrestor connected to the game to another device. Consequently, the battery device got damaged as soon as there was an unusual voltage fluctuation due to the rain.
I am fortunate to have John, a game technician as my next door neighbor and I’ve given the game to him to repair. He specializes in battery components and has promised to get it fixed before weekend. In addition, this comes with a two year warranty period.
Be rest assured you will have your game in good condition along with an extra battery as a back-up come Thursday next week.
Cheers,
Azuka.
