Dear Mr. John,

I hope you are doing well. I am Bhawna Sharma, MCA (2010-2013) batch pass out from your collage. I am writing this to request you for the letter of reference that is urgently needed at my new organization.

You would be proud to know that I have been offered a Data Scientist position at Google, Sans Francisco and I would be part of a team that would be developing a breakthrough model in voice analysis for NASA. This job would allow me to work with the brightest minds in the Data Analytics field and be part of an esteemed global company like Google. To be able to work in a company that is a pioneer in IT is like a dream and I would like to express my gratitude to you for all your guidance.

The final procedure of the HR process requires a letter of reference. Hence, I would request you to kindly mail the same mentioning my projects and thesis on the college’s letterhead. Moreover, you can also add your personal comments on my work that would make my credentials stronger. You are requested to mail it directly to HR at lisa@google.com.

I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Yours Sincerely,
Bhawna Sharma
