You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter:
give details of your study plans
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear bobby,
I hope this letter find you and your family well. I am writing to inform you that I am moving to Canada as I want to continue my study.
Fortunately, I could get a scholarship for PhD in civil engineering from British University. Hence, my departure for Vancouver is soon. As I checked the curriculum of my courses prior, I found two days free at the end of the each week.
Since my scholarship doesn’t cover all of my tuition, so I am urged to get a temporary job. Although my parent ensured they tend to pay all my study expenses, I am personally keen to burden myself with at least half of my expense. Not only did I hear the rents are so high there, but I am also aware that food prices are not affordable.
I know that you have lived there for several years. I would appreciate if you introduce me some of the prominent placement agencies throughout your city. I definitely believe by your precious information, I will be able to find a well-paid and satisfactory job.
I am looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Abhishek Singh
