I am writing to ask for your approval regarding my plan to take time off work to give medical attention to my mother in India. Let me explain the reason in detail.
My mother, who is close to 60 years, has been diagnosed with 3rd-grade breast cancer on her visit to a doctor a couple of weeks back. This has spawned a lot of turbulence in the mental statuses in the family. She has been adviced to get it treated as early as possible to alleviate the proliferation of cells in the body. My presence with her makes her mentally strong during the treatment. Since the initial process of treating her would take a couple of months, I would, by all means, stay with her to take care.
In my absence here, I have requested Mr. Raj to be my back up to look after my current project, which would end in a week, along with his project and he has graciously agreed for that. Taking about my next-in-line work, I request you to assign it to my offshore who can perform it well during their work hours.
I hope you understand my need to be with my mother and grant me the leave starting next Monday.
