Your local council is considering closing a sport and leisure center that it runs, in order to save money,Write a letter to the local council, in your letter,Give details of how you and your friends or family use the center.Explain the why the center is

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing to express my disagreement with your decision about closing the sport and leisure center in Mississauga. This community center lately has been a goto area for most of the residents of Mississauga. Let me explain how this center has been useful for all of us.

Firstly, as this center is equipped with just not only a range of sports namely: swimming, table tennis, fitness area, rock climbing spaces, but also facilitates classes like yoga, Zumba, and Bollywood dance, it is engaging the time of most of the homemakers like me to keep our selves fit by taking part in some of these activities. Secondly, for kids, it has been used as the best playground which in turn keeps them off the screen at home and lastly, for the elderly as a walking space during the early and late hours. In the city like Mississauga, especially in winters, our center has helped us to socialize with unknown people around and has been a great place to hang out.

If this center is closed, it would disturb all of our fitness regimes that have been built all these years and kids would be stuck to the screens at home in winters, which would affect their mental health as the body is not active and the mind is stagnant on screens. On the whole, it generates turmoil and adds to our depression. If the reason for the closure is to save some cost, please consider increasing the membership fee or organize some shows for the cost which I am sure would be a hit if introduced.

I hope you consider the seriousness of the center usage and think about other better options to save the cost.

Yours faithfully,
Jannet
