:You cannot go to a company where you got an offer. Write a letter to the HR supervisor to• explain the reason why you decline the offer• express your gratitude• explain you like your current job very much

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing with regard to an employment offer sent by your company. Although I am thankful for your interest in hiring me, unfortunately I am declining this great opportunity.

The predominant reason behind this decision is the distance required to travel. As workplace location mentioned in offer is located outside of town, which takes about two hours in public transit from my residential area, it is quite far for me to reach since I also do not own any kind of vehicle. Initially, I thought position would be at headquarter in downtown and therefore, applied for this opportunity.

Certainly, the interview was not only limited to testing my knowledge but also developed my interest in some unknown areas thorough exciting questions made by your panel. This left impression on me that how innovative is your firm and would have been great to work for. In addition, it was delightful experience to observe friendly work environment and having few games in office for employees welfare. I am really thankful for providing me a chance to better career prospects.

During the face-to-face conversation, I may have mentioned how much I enjoy to work in my current job and the relation with coworkers here can be considered another cause of putting off this offer. It is at convenient location with accessibility to the public transport. Furthermore, because I have been working there for five years now, it is difficult for me to move on to other company.

Again, I am really grateful for offering this position and hope you understand reasoning.

Your Faithfully,

Mr Krunal Darji
