You have been invited to give a talk at a local community college in America about your home country. Write a letter to the secretary of the college. In your letter
* accept the invitation and offer a possible date for the talk
* summarise what information you will include in the talk
* say what equipment you will need the college to arrange for you to give the talk
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my happiness about the invitation that is offered to me last week, and I would like to accept it.
It’s been such a great pleasure to me to hold such an offer from your college after so long. As I have been busy doing some voluntary work for people nearby our community college who have recently lost their jobs in this pandemic. So, I would be available next week, November 29.
I am thinking to include topics like agriculture and its effect on country economy because agriculture is one of the integral activities which is important in gaining significant GDP in my country. Mostly individuals are indulged in this practice to earn money, and I have one power point presentation with a video that depicts how they achieve it.
Although I will be carrying my laptop with me, I would need a USB connector to attach it with the projector. If it is unavailable, I will try to upload it or handover those to your IT department beforehand. Please let me know about its feasibility.
Thank you for considering me to speak at your esteem college.
Yours faithfully,
Apoorva Chikara
