• explain your situation
• say why you feel unsure about living in the city
• ask some questions about life in the city

Dear Sally,

It has been ages since we last wrote to each other. I have great news for you that I recently got a job opportunity in your hometown, Karachi. However, I am bit confuse about accepting this job proposal. I wonder if you could advise me about the city, since you have been living there for a while.

I have never been to Karachi. It would be my first experience, so I am confused whether I would like living there. I need your advice before making the decision to accept the job and move over there.

One thing I am anxious about is the weather of your town. I have heard that it remain humid and hot all the year. Is this true? The next thing, suggest me the leisure activities that I can do there during my free time, in the evenings or on the weekends, so that I could not feel boredom. Finally, the important problem is housing and food. I have heard that it’s expensive to live in big city, Karachi. What is the montly expenditure of the food and accommodation?

I would appreciate if could take time to answers my question. If I decide to accept the job offered in your city, then we would have ample time to do frequent get together.

Waiting for your reply,
Best Wishes,
Sara
