You have just come back from a holiday overseas. When you arrived back, you discovered that the airline had lost your suitcase. Write to the Customer Relations department of the airline. In your letter
• explain the situation
• describe the suitcase and its contents
• say what you want the airline to do
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I would like to lodge an official complaint about my suitcase which was misplaced by your airline.
I have traveled on Serene Airline flight no. SR 245 from Bangkok to Karachi the day before yesterday. When I reached at the luggage counter to collect my possession I was shocked to hear that my suitcase was no present there, despite personally checking each luggage. I have proactively contacted your loss and damage department and have submitted written application, copy of which is available with me.
It is a beige color suitcase made of synthetic leather and triangular logo of “Travel Guy” is embossed on the front. Suitcase also carries a name tag of my initials, as F.K. This suitcase holds a great value to me as I bought some expensive mobile phones, clothes and shoes worth $ 2,500 for my siblings.
I would appreciate if you can expedite search efforts for my suitcase and produce it by the end of this week. Alternatively, I demand compensation of $ 3,000 per your airlines policy on loss and damage of goods.
I am looking forward for a prompt action from you.
Yours faithfully,
Farrukh Zaman Kayani
