I am writing this letter to inform you about the recent experience that I had on my business trip recently. I am my name is James Burgess, and I recently flew from Calicut International airport to Dubai on 10th Jan 2019 by EK 212. My Flight departed on time and the airline staffs were shown exceptional professionalism to make my journey a pleasant one.
However, I am disappointed to say that I have experienced very poor service at your airport. As a customer and a regular international traveler, I felt that It is my duty to report this to you so you can take the necessary action to make the travel experience at the airport a smooth one for everyone.
Firstly, there are not enough baggage trollies in the parking area. It is very difficult for people to carry their bags from the parking lot to the main entrance if their bags have no wheels. People are getting exhausted by the time they reach the main entrance. Most of the other airports that I have seen have plenty of trolley’s available for passengers to use at the parking area itself.
Secondly, there is no provision of a baggage wrapping facility at the airport. This has been an additional burden to the passengers who are not properly packed their bags from home. Nowadays People expect a wrapping machine at the airport and ready to pay a nominal fee to use to wrap their luggage for extra safety.
In conclusion, I trust this letter will reach your hand safely and I will be grateful if you could allow more trolleys available at the parking area and install a wrapping machine at the airport. I am sure that these facilities will be an added advantage and merit for Calicut airport to achieve the standards of other major airports in the country.
